NCU-1 & NCU-2
Pacific NCU-1 and NCU-2 Control Units are used in the NC-9100 Nurse call system to route power and to control electronics necessary for all signaling within the system. In addition, the control unit serves as a junction cabinet for systems common wiring.

Operation/Equipment:
The control unit (CU) contains the controller board and the 24VDC power supply. The CU contains a surface and flush mountable cabinet with a hinged door. All system commons and annunciation commons except for zoning terminate at the CU to removable terminal blocks. The controller inputs and also ouputs control commons to the remote stations. Whenever a remote station calls, dc current is turned on in the respective input common to the controller by this remote station. This current initiates the coded call annunciation signals in the controller to the annunciator and to the duty stations. DC current in an input/output common due to a
calling emergency or code blue station will also initiate the ouput function of that common to the calling station such as emergency or code blue flashing.

POWER SUPPLY
The power supply (located in the control unit ) provides +24VDC regulated voltage to the controller board, annunciator, and remote
stations and dome lights. The output current is limited to 3.5 ampere DC. The input to the power supply is 117 VAC, 60 Hertz. A standby power option, NC-2 is available containing all of the above with 24 VDC batteries and with builtin battery charger and automatic switch over to the batteries in the event of an AC power failure.

Power Requirements:The power requirements of the control unit are provided by the Power Supply. The DC input
is 24VDC.

Field Connections:
Removable screw type terminal blocks are provided to connect the remote station commons, and DC power.
